Coronavirus

When COVID hit, like many, we didn’t know what to do. But when we remembered the purpose of our company—“Serve until there can be said that there’s no need among us.”—we knew it was time to step up and help. We decided to do “Donation Only” errand deliveries so we could help anyone that couldn’t afford an errand run to get back necessities. Check out the video on the right that we sent out in March. Neighbors joined in and helped us raise $10,000 towards supporting making up the difference to support this service. Sanctuary Church also stepped up with volunteers and committed to financially supporting in any way they could.

Our efforts were covered on news stations in Rhode Island, South Carolina, Chattanooga, and Huntsville. Job requests started flooding in. We were able to help struggling Neighbors with no one else to help them. We were able to help businesses support their immense demand. We provided over 500 hours of errand runs to those that needed it and gave people work in a very scary time. Hundreds of meaningful moments created stronger communities.

We nearly had 4000 hours of errand runs confirmed to be supported by the state of Rhode Island but COVID runs became less in demand as we were finalizing details. If COVID spikes again in Rhode Island, hopefully we’ll be able to use that state support to serve thousands of at risk Neighbors.

We want to thank everyone for joining with us to love and support our local communities. We were there for those who needed work and that needed deliveries. As scary as this has all been, these moments of togetherness is what we live for. It’s a reminder that together, there’s nothing we can’t face.

Hopefully, we won’t see a second wave of COVID-19 and lockdowns. But if it does come, there are a few ways below you can help us make sure there’s No Need Among Us. Please send this page with friends and family!
