Starting by knocking on every door in his town to pay for college, to then randomly doing water special effects concerts for a bit, then back to having other people knock on doors to build Rent Sons here in Rhode Island, Pat is an interesting person. He likes to look at life as a grand adventure. He sees everything having deep beauty and meaning. He also can boogie like its 1999.

John Christian was born and bred a Carolinian, spending long summer days fishing the outer-banks, hunting in the cooler climate of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and making his home the Piedmont. If lost, you can find him painting watercolor landscapes, playing piano at any church with open doors, eating at White Duck Taco, writing poetry at Methodical, or perfecting homemade pizza. The fourth of six children, his heart is with his family and community!

Julia is an Exeter, RI native currently living in Richmond, RI with her three dogs and husband. She enjoys cooking, pulling pranks, watching movies, listening to true crime podcasts, crafting, and camping. Julia started as the assistant to the CEO and was the very first official Rent Sons employee. She now holds down the fort as the HR Coordinator. Her favorite words to live by that have never let her down are “everything happens for a reason“.

Chesterton Cobb

Chesterton is from Manhattan and has traveled all over the world (including 2 years in India), but now he’s settled for good in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley with his wife and son in a 100-year-old house. He loves cooking good food, teaching history, reading great books (especially ones older than his house), traveling the world (he’s been to 70+ countries), and making board games. Chesterton lives by the Yates quote, “There are no strangers here, only friends who have not yet met.”

Noah Walker

Noah is originally from Kentucky and now currently resides in the Washington, DC metro area. He studied finance at Grove City College but is now more interested in pursuing business ventures rather than financial statements. To put it succinctly, Noah loves growing businesses and the good that they can bring to the world. Thus, he is completely stoked to be impacting communities through Rent Sons. Outside of business, Noah is passionate about Jesus, his wife Angi, his adorable daughter Magnolia, tinkering in Spanish and programming languages, writing, forestry, and swimming.

Scott is from a small beach town in the smallest state in the union (Narragansett) but he’s always had his eyes set on impacting the larger world. He studied Finance & Analytics at Bryant University, but his natural intrigue led him to begin his own own small-marketing agency on the side. Through his pursuits, he discovered the power of digital marketing and the belief that it should be used for good. He now wishes to enhance authentic brands and great organizations, while making the world a better place. Outside of work, he loves to be outdoors with the people he loves. Whether it be swimming at the beach, shredding mountains up north, or boarding a jet to a far-off country, you can be sure he’ll have an ear-to-ear smile and his family by his side.

Dan lives in the small village of Wickford, RI with his supportive wife and new baby boy. We have yet to meet anyone who can top his beard. He’s full of energy and even more full of love. He embraces all that life has to offer him and is the definition of full life. When Dan isn’t hiking you can find him and his family cruising around in their van that is decked out to live in.

Cathryn grew up in South Kingstown, RI but she now lives in East Greenwich with her fiance and their energetic dogs, Gus and Millie. She is a lover of the beach, animals, movies, and traveling. Cathryn started in the Scheduler role and after 2 years has transitioned into the Operations Associate to help make sure that your renting process goes as smooth as possible.

While attending Salve Regina University, she fell in love with Newport & is excited to represent Rent Sons as the Newport office’s on-boarding specialist. She loves to laugh, surround herself with quality friends, and enjoys all things spooky.

After graduating from the University of North Alabama, Lakin decided to put down roots in the area. She enjoys running and spending time hiking on the many nature trails Huntsville has to offer. When not outside, she probably has coffee in her hand and her cat Moira helping her schedule!

Born and raised in the Southeast, Cody has always had a love for the outdoors. Upon graduating from the College of Charleston in 2014 with a BS in Exercise Science, he decided to cross the pond and travel through Europe for the first time. In 2019 him and his girlfriend hiked the entire 2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail!

Stephanie is originally from New Orleans but has lived all over the world with her husband, Peter, who is a retired US Army Officer. With the last of her three children in University, Stephanie joined the Rent Sons family as the receptionist in the Newport office.

Amelia first heard about Rent Sons while on campus at the University of Rhode Island. Now graduated from URI and living in Newport, RI, she is thrilled to be a part of the Rent Sons team! Amelia was born and raised in Trumbull, CT with her two fellow triplet siblings and one older sister. She loves anything and everything that involves the outdoors, food, and live music. Amelia is passionate about ending human trafficking and hopes to one day help establish safe homes for women in New England. One huge goal she has for her day to day life is to show the love of Jesus to those around her.

He takes pride in being a lifelong learner and cherishes positively impacting both his community and the human beings within it.

Cody relocated to Providence from a small coastal town on Lake Superior, Wisconsin. He is currently studying psychology and is particularly fascinated by topics of shame, trauma and relational neurobiology. He hopes to incorporate the insights and expertise that he has learned from his studies and mentors to help those in underrepresented communities — namely those who are in prison. Among Cody’s favorite pastimes are riding trains, cleaning his apartment, baking, gardening, people watching and woodworking. He almost always listens to songs without words and loves to probe and contemplate the meaning behind them. Maintaining and developing new friendships really energizes him. He desires to be like a friend that Jesus shows himself to be.

Originally from Texas, Tyler has made his home in the TN hills. He graduated from Belmont University with a degree in entrepreneurship and stuck around afterwards. When he is not assisting in his community, he loves to teach his community. CPR, scuba diving, ham radios, first aid, cooking and disaster preparation are just a few of the topics he loves delving into. As a scuba instructor, you can often see him off for a few days to dive into dark underwater caves or to perform photoshoots on shallow reefs with his freediving buddies. His biggest passion, which you can see most of these activities, is working with people and finding a way to make their lives just a little better!

Born and raised in Charleston, my love for my community stems from the people that have made me who I am. First are my parents, John and Diana Shirley who first met in Downtown Charleston and taught me how to love and live humbly. Then there is the College of Charleston and all of the amazing professors who mentored me for those years, all of whom gave me a more nuanced understanding of how to “Know Thyself”. Lastly, there is my Crossfit Community that has instilled in me perseverance, integrity & community that I hope to extend through Rent Sons!

Zachary, while young, has lived across many parts of the US. Originally born in Ohio, he spent his childhood in Texas and Oregon, and now calls Bluffton, South Carolina his home after living in Charleston. Traveler, DJ, lifeguard, and son are just the tip of the iceberg to describe him. You can find him spending time with his family and two brothers at their lake house in Santee with his pets, surfing, or leading his Christian youth group. He has a persistent need to provide the highest quality of work, and always an open ear and welcoming personality to those around him.

Tammy and her family recently relocated to Chattanooga and the universe crossed her path with Rent Sons. Tammy is skilled at networking, creating opportunities for business, recruiting, connecting with people, and building relationships. Previously, she was a massage therapist at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and the 2012 Olympic Games in London. She has taught massage education for six years and has written two massage industry books. Tammy enjoys handling all of her home projects and upkeep. If you don’t find Tammy at work, look for her biking, doing hot yoga, reading, exploring Chattanooga, traveling, or kayaking.

Though Garrett was born and raised in Virginia, he has been growing roots, building relationships, and making Wilmington home for the last decade. He is a UNCW Graduate in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and with his whole family now living in Wilmington, you could call them Locals. Garrett loves the outdoors, learning just about anything, and hanging with friends. When he’s not building the Wilmington Rent Sons Community, you can catch him surfing, scuba diving offshore at the Meg Ledges, or just playing a round of Golf.

Born in Charlotte, NC, Kait spent her childhood traveling between the mountains and coast, always returning to her home in the Piedmont. After graduating from UNC Greensboro, she spent 7 years in Charleston, SC getting closer to family, honing in on her artistic interests, and discovering new passions! She spends her days diving into mental health or the closest body of water, playing Ultimate Frisbee, crafting, convincing herself running isn’t that bad, and petting every dog that passes by. Kait’s excited to be back in Charlotte, growing with this community in grace and inclusivity!
